Hekler & B. Rich Drop Futuristic Collaboration, ‘Detonate’

Hekler is a heavy hitting producer known for his equally heavy tracks and dedication to his craft. He made a return to touring with a stop at Sunbar Tempe after breaking his ankle, going so far as to produce a song about the event. An admirable feat for sure. Hekler is back with his newest release, “Detonate” featuring Hip-Hop artist and fellow producer B. Rich. The track is also included on the Subsidia compilation, titled Night 11.

The track begins with ominous ticking and surreal whistles. Bass rises and falls like a tide as the drums gradually break down the doors. A sweeping transition expands into a rapid drum section and the first drop. The first drop is HEAVY and matches the futuristic vibe of the compilation’s cover art. Breaking down like a computer gone haywire. Complete with computerized clicks for good measure. Rolling drum fills smoothly extend into the chorus. The elements steadily return and build to the next drop. Taking the glitchy beat to new levels. Maintaining the futuristic computer vibes. “Detonate” ends with fading vocals and soothing echoes that ride along with the bass and clicks. Hekler’s instrumentals mesh well with B. Rich’s flow and production contributions, making this drop a BANGER.
