YetepIconic wubmaster MERSIV has a versatile, adaptive style and is a great collaborator. He has worked with numerous artists in a variety of genres. Continuously upping his craft in new, imaginative ways. His newest drop, “Head Rock,” is a joint WAKAAN effort between himself, Sully, and Nat James. Nat James brings his immaculate vocals to the mix. Adding depth and swagger. Sully brings forth his earth-shattering bass waves and sploinks to compliment MERSIV’s wonky wubs.
“Head Rock” begins with thick guitar riffs and crispy drum effects. Nat James gets going right out of the gate. Breaking down the proverbial doors with his vocals. The riffs make up the space between bars as alarms blare in the distance. The wubs enter the fray, reverberating off of the intensifying drums. A great lead in to the first drop. These wubs switch between alien transmissions and cascading wonks. Nat James keeps up with the shifting effects with ease. Rewind effects break up track sections and keep the listener intrigued. Ghostly wails give this extended drop a supernatural feel. The riffs return with a VENGEANCE as Nat James continues to hold it down. The second drop perfectly meshes the styles of MERSIV and Sully, putting an emphasis on Sully’s infectious, shuffling bass waves. Lasers and riffs duke it out over heavy drums, closing out “Head Rock” with a final blaring alarm.
