Watch it Wednesday: Claude VonStroke – ‘Maharaja’

How fitting that the title of VonStroke’s latest tracks means “great king”, and that’s exactly the label dance music has given him. Father of the flock, Claude VonStroke is not only CEO and top bird at Dirtybird records, but he is often the face of House music for many. Born Barclay Crenshaw, VonStroke has built an empire. Dirtybird records has often be proclaimed as one of the top independent electronic music record labels in the world. It houses a whos who of today’s top Deep House artists and of course, showcases VonStroke very own creations.

His latest, titled “Maharaja” is an electro-infused deep house stomper. Layered in a minimalist fashion the song takes you on a sound journey through scintillating synths and poppy percussions. The video is an animal of its own. Starting with a solo dancer in a warehouse and ending with zoo animals amongst floating Dirtybird eggs. The video is a trip!
