YetepYou found out about them from their chart-topping hit “You Were Right,” lusted after them when What So Not got ahold of their track “Innerbloom,” and now are in disbelief of their talents on their latest anthem, “Underwater.” Australia based trio RÜFÜS DU SOL has a way with whispering words and whimsical melodies that soothe the soul in the sweetest of ways. Since their inception back in 2010, Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt set out to blend the worlds of house and alternative, stumbling upon what is now one of the most beloved groups in dance music. In this world of neck breaking BMPs, booming bass, and aggravated lyrics to match, it’s a gift to find something that awakens a different feeling.
Keeping true to their euphoric ways, “Underwater,” simply put, is beautiful. I’m not sure if it’s the melody or the stunning voices of all three bandmates that makes this one so emotional. Following “No Place,” the first track from their forthcoming album Solace, “Underwater” is giving fans glimpse into whats to come. Check it out below.
RÜFÜS DU SOL is performing in Phoenix on October 30th at The Van Buren. The show is heading for a sell out so get your tickets now before they sell out!
