YetepDubstep ambassador 12th Planet and dubstep boys Bandlez are at different stages in their EDM careers, but their latest collaboration proves the master and the new kids on the block can work in harmony to create something new. 12th Planet has previously collaborated with huge names like Skrillex and Kill The Noise, and has released on labels like Mad Decent, Monstercat, and OWSLA. He’s become a household name for playing at festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC, HARD, and Ultra; in contrast, Bandlez is a name you might not be familiar with, but their success proves you should change that. Listen to their collaboration with 12th Planet below.
“Rubber Band Boiz” is everything you’d want in a good dubstep track: heavy bass, snappy snare, and almost silly vocal samples. Each component works together to elicit wild dancing and aggressive headbanging – nothing else sounds better to a headbanger. It seems like 12th Planet took Bandlez under his wing for this single, and in turn, Bandlez taught an old dog new tricks. If you want to see two of the three “rubber band boiz” in action, don’t miss Bandlez when they open for Barely Alive at Gentle Ben’s on November 14th and The Green Room on November 16th!
