YetepLast week, the BUKU Music + Art Project dropped their 2020 lineup and it has caused quite a stir in the festival community. The lineup is extensive – featuring headliners like Tyler, The Creator, Flume, Glass Animals, Run The Jewels, Taking Back Sunday, Alison Wonderland, and Zeds Dead, as well as supporting artists like Cashmere Cat, Clozee, Jpegmafia, Troyboi, i_o, Kayzo and many, many more. The 2020 event will take place at Mardi Gras World in New Orleans, LA on March 20th and 21st.

Inspired by the artistic subculture of New Orleans, BUKU combines a diverse and progressive musical lineup with live painters, one-of-a-kind industrial art installations, celebrated local cuisine, and “pop-up” street-style performances.
The event features five stages, each with a different theme, including the dilapidated and industrial-style “Power Plant” as well as the “Float Den,” which houses the city’s signature Mardi Gras parade floats, and sits along the Mississippi River, just a short distance from the famous French Quarter.
The vibe at BUKU is like nothing else. The festival is intended to be an inclusive celebration of acceptance, compassion, and encouragement as organizers practice a zero-tolerance policy for: “sexual harassment, acts of aggression, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, religious bigotry… or any other form of hatred or discrimination.” BUKU stands behind the ethos on their website: “We Believe in Those Who Strive to be Dope. Originality, Creativity, Freedom and Community is Our Anthem.”
