YetepThe weird bass producer from a state as weird as they come is back 10 days before his massive 35+ city tour with a track so loud it couldn’t be titled anything but “Hot Box.” Blunts & Blondes debuts his aptly titled piece just in time to set the tone for the ginormous, mind-blowing Hot Box Tour, set to start in Kansas on February 15th. Promising new music, new visuals, new merch, and so much more, we’re eager to get this glorified smoke session started.
And despite being fresh in the scene, he’s still rolling up tracks that give us the munchies before they even end. Debuting singles in 2017 that popped off, remixing Zeds Dead and Delta Heavy’s “Lift You Up,” to joining Subtronics on tour and playing Lost Lands, Okeechobee, and Bass Canyon, Michael Guard has taken the scene by the horns. Guiding fans deep into a world of hip-hop, bass, and Rastafarian influences, his wonky, head-nodding vibes ooze grimy bass enough to toke an audience. Last year, we received Blunts & Blondes’ debut EP, Smoking With Friends, that was even more dope than we could have ever imagined. But to kick off the tour, fans have to start out with a good old fashioned “Hot Box.” Out now on Deadbeats, listen below.
Blunts & Blondes will be playing at The Green Room in Flagstaff, a venue whose name, location, and vibe just screams wook paradise. Click here for tickets to see him alongside Bawldy and Subdocta on February 20th. And you won’t want to forget your lighters for this one.
