YetepRenowned English producers Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, AKA electronic duo Gorgon City, have put their creative and beautiful minds together once again to release their newest project. The duo spoke out recently regarding the inspiration surrounding the new 18-track album, revealing the muse to widely come from situations they experienced before lockdown, during, and the progression back to a new sense of normal.
The duo strove for a more club-like, techno-inspired, and big room-influenced tone with this album, combining bass-driven house music with alluring vocals from upcoming singers. They are known for being drawn to create tracks that elicit emotion and break the soul while simultaneously featuring big rave sounds that drive the music home and create the full live experience.
Start your experience below by listening to the 18-track album Olympia below, out now via Astralwerks.
Take a journey into the explorative realm of Olympia, with its euphoric soundscapes providing much-needed sanctuary. Drift away into magic and fantasy as its seductive, hypnotizing tunes of hip-swaying and head-bobbing beats entice you further and further into bliss. One of the biggest themes of the album is escapism, being free, and finding your way back out there after reflecting upon everything that has led up to this point. The album features tracks from over the past several years, coming together in a cohesive symphony of immersive basslines and deep tones of melodic splendor.
Let go of your reality, set yourself free, and get ready to dance to the big club sounds of Gorgon City!
Want to experience Olympia live? They will be playing two shows at Sunbar; first on August 19th and again on August 20th! Don’t miss out and get your tickets here for the 19th and here for the 20th before they’re gone!
