Flume Releases Archival Track ‘Slugger 1.4’ From 2014

What better way to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Flume’s self-titled debut album than an unreleased track from the OG Flume era itself? Flume recently rediscovered his old laptop from 2012 that holds plenty of hidden gems made when creating his first-ever studio album. Bringing back some major nostalgia, Flume has recently shared archival demo “Slugger 1.4”. Check it out below:

There’s really no better time capsule than finding a long-lost laptop filled with some old-school flume! “Slugger 1.4” takes us back to a time that many of us would call the “golden age of EDM”. Filled with some signature Flume synths, this track is another reminder of how timeless Flume is and how he has always been ahead of the game. “Slugger 1.4” literally feels like you’re discovering Flume for the first time all over again and there is no better feeling than that. 

Of the release Flume stated —

“[I] made this one in Paris [and] always loved this demo, but it never quite made it onto an album. I figured now that it’s 10 years since my first album was released it would be a good time to share. Hope you like it.”
