YetepIn the “break of day,” what better sounds to play than some soothing deep house heat. A pioneer in the house scene, BIJOU, and up and comer Honey & Badger, have collabed on their new track “Daybreak.” The enchanting and alluring house banger has been released under the record label Monstercat, marking a new milestone in both BIJOU and Honey & Badger’s careers as this is their debut track released under the label.
“Daybreak” is the perfect house track to roll down your windows in the crisp morning breeze and watch the sunrise or even bump at a summer pool party. The rolling basslines, bouncy synths, and deep heavy bass blend smoothly with the powerful uplifting vocals that sing out a light and positive-filled message. The track has a unique energy that engulfs listeners and transports you to paradise as the duo journeys into a new unique sound and showcases their ever-evolving production skills. Both BIJOU and Honey & Badger had thoughts to share regarding their new track.
BIJOU shares:
“When Honey & Badger sent me the original of the song I was going through a break up and really wanted to create something uplifting that would essentially take me into the next aspect of my life. So the vocals themselves really resonated with me as ‘Daybreak’ felt like a new sense of life moving forward. I took that emotion into the studio and allowed it to drive forward and really unleash it into the music. My hope is that the fans and listeners can have a sense of what I was feeling and going through during the production process. This is one of the reasons I feel music is so special as it’s an outlet to allow the fans into my thoughts and feelings through sound.”
Honey & Badger shares:
“I remember what I felt when I found those vocals. I thought they were empowering and uplifting. I’m so glad BIJOU found the perfect production to accompany them. I hope it’ll make listeners feel the same way as I did. The track is definitely deeper and more “emotional” than my previous work, if that makes sense. It’s the kind of track that gets stuck in your head. I love this direction and I’ll explore it more in the future.”
Arizona’s own BIJOU (or Ben Dorman) has been heating things up for years with his bass-heavy house heaters. He has gained attention and collaborated with artists like AC Slater, Don Diablo, Destructo, Denzel Curry and many more. His unique sound has got his name circulating around the U.S. festival circuit and a packed tour schedule. Honey & Badger is fresh to the scene but has been making big moves. The Belgium DJ and producer has a versatile production style that has caught the attention of big names in the industry like Tchami, Martin Garrix, Lost Frequencies, and Oliver Heldens. His variety of sounds landed him on Dancing Astronaut’s Artist to Watch list in 2022.
