YetepOne of the most highly-anticipated collaborations of the year is finally here! Just before his legendary set at Rawhide last weekend, John Summit released his latest single with Tape B and Subtronics, their official remix of Sage the Gemini’s 2014 hit song “Gas Pedal.” Originally premiered during Miami Music Week earlier this summer, this incredible collaboration is an electrifying combination of house, hip-hop, and dubstep.
“Gas Pedal” is a rollercoaster full of high energy powered by Summit’s trademark upbeat house sound and Subtronics’ deep dubstep components alongside Tape B’s trap elements to create a harmonious balance with expertly timed build-ups and drops. The trio expertly escalates the tension, layering intricate synths and percussion to create a sense of anticipation. When the drop finally hits, it’s nothing short of explosive, unleashing a tidal wave of euphoria. The wild nature of hearing this remix live is well-known to those who attended Summit’s show with us on Friday. “Gas Pedal” is infectious and impossible to resist, urging you to move and lose yourself in the music. It’s a versatile anthem that is a testament to these artists’ ability to create music that transcends.
There’s no doubt that their remix of “Gas Pedal” will continue to be a staple in DJ sets and playlists all around the world. So, buckle up and get ready to hit the dance floor—this is one ride you won’t want to miss. If you want another chance to hear this track live soon, Tape B will be at Coconino Campout, taking place in Flagstaff, AZ on September 20-22nd. Tickets are still available – grab them here! He will also be at Revel in Albuquerque, NM on October 18th. You can grab those tickets here.
