YetepAfter months of dominating heavy dubstep as one-half of the explosive duo “Stoned to Death,” Muerte has reemerged with a solo masterpiece that has excited fans and is a reminder why his sound design stands alone. “Blooming Wounds” is a violent symphony of crunching bass, eerie ambiance, and brain scratching sounds, everything that’s made him a favorite in the heaviest corners of dubstep.
While his collaborations with Stoned Level have been unrelenting bangers, this track is pure, unfiltered Muerte: guttural low-end bass, distorted textures, and a sense of impending doom, the only way to describe his creative dark-inspired artistry. Muerte has a way of producing some of the most unique sounds in the genre, and flawlessly perfects them with every release.
The timing couldn’t be hotter. Fresh off a main stage takeover at Bass Canyon, Muerte’s momentum is unstoppable. “Blooming Wounds” is the sign we needed of more single releases, and he’s leveling up. Could he be working on something bigger? We’re praying. Bass music’s darkest architect is building something terrifyingly beautiful, and we’re all living to see what’s next.
