YetepOMRI. is a producer/DJ out of Tel Aviv, Israel who is best known for his digitized grooves and wobbly brand of House. His tracks can be tropical, cybernetic, and intergalactic. This results in a diverse discography with varied vibes and soundscapes. OMRI. was first brought to my attention when a DJ at one of the Decadence 2024 side stages spun “Selector” in the last forty-five minutes of the festival. “Selector” is a collaboration with fellow House warrior Yamagucci, and this chance encounter began my transformation into a SERIOUS HouseHead. In a full-circle moment, OMRI. is performing at Night One of Decadence: The Portal of I11usions. A welcomed and exciting surprise.
OMRI. continues to release dynamic singles, with his newest being “Little Kitty,” a joint effort featuring Rafael. The song was released through Hot Creations and features a broken heart on an old fashioned computer screen. “Little Kitty” features floor-busting kicks, wobbly electrical pulses, and catchy vocals. The vocals sway along with the beat PERFECTLY! Stretchy basslines and warping keyboards give the track a bit of a retro and nostalgic vibe, much like the cover art. “Little Kitty” glitches out around the 2:30 mark, immersing the listener into an 80’s video game. Cats are welcome to the party as well and can be heard meowing along to the beat. The hi-hats come in at full force, bouncing off the rhythm of the kicks and evolving into claps. These multi-layered drum sounds add some serious rhythm to the mix and smoothen the transitions between track sections. “Little Kitty” fades out with a percussion heavy conclusion and a retro fair. This is the perfect drop to hype you up for OMRI.’s set at this year’s running of Decadence Arizona. Catch his set on December 30th – grab tickets HERE!
