YetepAndrew Taggart and Alex Pall, the masterminds behind The Chainsmokers, have become known for creating yearly hits. In 2014, it was the group’s song “#Selfie” that garnered them recognition. Last year, “Roses” was warbled on dance floors and blasted in cars everywhere. These guys continue creating a variety of versatile tracks and perhaps “Don’t Let Me Down” is their triumphant 2016 single.
Featuring hit single “Hide Away” vocalist, 17 year old Daya, “Don’t Let Me Down” jumps on the chill trap bandwagon and is perfect for winding down at the end of the day or listening to as the sun rises. The song does a great job showcasing the duo’s diversity within the dreamy intro and more upbeat drops.
“I’m super proud of it,” duo member Andrew Taggart told Billboard. “I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve written and produced. I think people are going to be pretty blown away by it and it’s very different than ‘Roses,’ which is nice.”
