YetepAfterparties can vary depending on the event. Some allow you to chill out with artists, some give you an extended set, and then there’s others that feature special guests. The Official 2016 Phoenix Lights Afterparty featuring Datsik was one of those times that included all of your after party dreams. The highlight of it all? This party turned into the ultimate B2B fest and featured Datsik, Ghastly, Bais Haus, Bijou, Drezo and Dr. Fresch.
Yes you heard correctly. This Phoenix Lights Afterparty which was said to feature Datsik and Drezo, had a ton of unexpected special guests. It was literally a B2B2B2B2B2B, a once in a lifetime experience and it happened right here in Phoenix.
Dirty. That’s really the only word that comes to mind when I think back to that set. Monarch Theater was the perfect setting for the filthy bass and ear piercing sounds that radiated throughout the crowd. Vibrations from the subs shook bodies. These beats caused so much insane, unconscious head banging that I’m pretty sure most attendees left with whiplash.

It was incredible to see all of these talented artists collaborate together. The best part though, was that they weren’t even trying to put on an amazing show, these guys were just throwing down and having the time of their life up on stage. The crowd fed off of their energy and the night really did feel like
One of the highlights of my night was when Datsik and Bais Haus (aka Ephwurd) threw down their classic “Rock the Party.” It was one thing to see Ehpwurd perform at the festival, but the intimate setting of Monarch took it to another level.
Moral of the story: Don’t miss the afterparty because you never know who’s going to show up.
