YetepNot too long ago, Relentless Beats hosted Zedd @ Wild Knight this past January. At the time, “Shave It” and “Dovregubben” were already huge electro bangers and just a week before the show, “Slam The Door” was already shaping up to be another hit track from the German DJ/producer. In his own words, he “killed Wild Knight” and it turned out to be one of the most memorable shows from the beginning of the year.
Zedd has obviously been busy in the studio with a string of releases since January including a straight-up unexpected remix of Skrillex and The Doors’ “Breakin’ a Sweat” that’s received support from all over the industry. The latest track to drop on his Soundcloud is preview of his upcoming release “Spectrum” featuring Matthew Koma. Overall, the track isn’t as gritty as his previous releases, but it’s got a joyous vibe that’s a perfect fit for the upcoming summer season. It still has some hard electro synths, but it has more of a “bouncy” and light-hearted feel than “Slam The Door” or “Shave It.”
“Spectrum” drops June 4, 2012 on Interscope Records.
Learn more about Zedd. Check out pictures and video from his last performance at Wild Knight and buy tickets for his Friday, August 10 return to Wild Knight.
