YetepThe phrase ‘keeping it in the family’ is sometimes a double-edged sword. Sure, you get to work with siblings you love and trust – but what if they’re (whisper it) not very good? Thankfully, that couldn’t be further from the truth for young Swedish buck Antoine Josefsson AKA AN21, whose brother Steve Angello is one third of the mighty Swedish House Mafia. This super-talented young producer has been consuming music constantly since he was a child – although ironically, he wasn’t always a fan of the music he was surrounded by at home.
“It’s true that I grew up loving music,” he smiles. “But when I was young, I thought my brother’s music was crap! It wasn’t until I started growing up and got my first real gig at a club that I got my first taste of club culture.” But again, it wasn’t quite the experience he was hoping for. “I was expecting something really good since I’d seen so many scenes in movies – but that night was TERRIBLE! So bad that I got disappointed and said to myself that I would start my own club nights in Sweden!”
