YetepUpdate www.DaftPunk.com was updated after year’s of silence to the image above fueling countless rumors of the impending album.
The French half-human, half-robot duo Daft Punk has parted ways with Virgin / EMI to join Columbia Records, a subsidy of Sony, for the release of their fourth studio album
After drifting about the EDM scene since their 2005 release of Human After All (Don’t forget their epic soundtrack to Tron in 2010), Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are planning to release their next album this upcoming Spring.
No date has been set just yet, but the chrome headed French men are using the obscurity and mystery around the album to their advantage.
A tour seems unlikely after the busting of the rumors surrounding a possible Coachella appearance.
What surprises will their new album have in store? A new sound? A club-banging collaboration? The tension is killing me, along with many other Daft Punk die-hards.
