YetepA good week to be Ryan Raddon indeed. The release of his highly anticipated album (and return to his deep, Here & Now-ish roots), Atmosphere, along with taking his second America’s Best DJ competition.
Kaskade‘s first victory in 2011 must have felt good, but it’ll be tough to top the LA-based producer now considering his consistent success, and his role as an unofficial spokesperson for the genre.
“Words can’t do justice to how completely grateful I am to receive this honor for a second time,” said Kaskade in a release. “I am constantly in awe of the love, encouragement and energy I receive from my fan-base, which has continued to inspire and motivate me throughout my career. I feel connected to them in such a real way and their support is something that keeps rocking my world. I couldn’t do this without them.”
Twerk connoisseur Diplo and womp manufacturer Skrillex round out the top three spot, followed then by Bassnectar and Porter Robinson.

The honoring ceremony will be held October 13th at the Marquee Las Vegas, where he’ll be presented with his prize, the gold Pioneer DJM-900 nexus mixer.
Congrats Kaskade. Now time to snag that Grammy!
