YetepThis Friday at Wild Knight, we’ll be hosting the very French–and apparently athletic–Martin Solveig. To celebrate the arrival of the artist/producer/tennis player, RelentlessBeats.com will feature each of the four videos from the SMASH album on the site this week leading up to the event.
Solveig’s fifth studio album SMASH was released June last year, but over the course of the past 10 months he’s directed and appeared in a multi-part music video series that tells the story of Solveig, his love interest “She,” and his manager Lafaille.
By now, you’ve surely heard “Hello,” the popular single that even appeared in a Trident commercial here in the States. You’ve also likely seen the music video with a staged tennis match between Solveig and Bob Sinclair at Roland Garros. In the full version of the video that doesn’t have nearly as many views, the tennis match actually the second chapter. The first chapter introduces all the characters in a conversation between Solveig and Lafaille (manager not agent). Don’t worry, they speak English and all the subtitles are French.
Enjoy the video above and look out for the rest of the series this week on the site.
Also, in case you’re curious, his YouTube channel name “temps d’avance” is French for “ahead of its time.” He’s very, very French.
