This past weekend may possibly go down in history as the heaviest one in electronic music. The second annual Lost Lands kicked off in Ohio, bringing bassheads from all over the world together. Nocturnal Wonderland in California has music lovers returning to NOS Event Center for Insomniac’s longest running event. And of course, Snails, the sluggish devil of dubstep has released his highly anticipated remix album for The Shell. Featuring remixed versions for each of The Shell‘s ten tracks this album has been much-anticipated.
“It’s finally here!!! So excited to finally share “The Shell: Remixes” album featuring some of the best and my favorite artists in electronic music right now, out now on Slugz Music. Every remix received it’s own unique twist and is about to destroy the dancefloor and your speakers!” Snails said of the album.
The Shell Remixes is a rework of Snail’s latest 2017 album. The record label founder, DJ, and producer had each track on The Shell dissected, rewritten, and transformed into face-melting dubstep goodness by some of the biggest names in bass music. Artists like Virtual Riot, Kill the Noise, Space Jesus, and SVDDEN DEATH completely flip the original Snails tracks on its head. The Shell Remixes is a prime example of vomitstep hard at work, it’s fast and unpredictable. I suggest listening to this album while working out, pre-gaming, or any other activity that requires you to get hyped. This album is not for the faint of heart, so make sure you have a doctor on standby before listening to The Shell Remixes.
Just in time for the album’s release, Snails is about to embark on his massive 52 date North American tour, which will feature his brand new stage THE SHELL 2.0. The stage is being called a “holographic bass music experience powered by groundbreaking production.” Make sure you catch him in Arizona for two very heavy performances at The Van Buren in Phoenix on October 27th (Grab tickets here!) and the Rialto Theatre in Tucson on October 24th(Grab tickets here!).
