Need For Mirrors Excels On Ram Records

Out last week on Ram Records is Need For Mirrors‘ latest release. He pushes not just one but two seriously sick singles (“Arp Tune” and “Reverie”) for the D&B label. We’re not exaggerating when we say this might be our favorite release of 2019 so far. There is some epic technical flair on display from the UK artist, and sublime melodies that ripple out of the speakers. The punchy “Arp Tune” has that club-ready bassline and rhythmic intensity, whilst the euphoric, shimmering “Reverie” takes a different direction that is no less eye-catching.

The producer says:

Arp Tune’ spawned from my love of techno. I wanted to have a tune in my bag that bridged the gap from club to the big room stadium anthems, but was understated. ‘Reverie’ was influenced by old ‘Sincere’ era MJ Cole and garage. I’m a sucker for that feeling in the string arrangement! As the track progressed it started to feel more euphoric; the arp that comes in later in this tune reminded me of Origin Unknown’s ‘Valley Of The Shadows’ in a very odd way. Nostalgia!
