Artist Spotlight: Sam Divine

If Sam Divine hasn’t popped up on your radar yet, it’s time to change that! This DJ and producer, known as The First Lady of Defected, has become an intrinsic part of the UK house music scene.

Born in the UK, Sam’s career really started after winning a DJ competition in Bristol, which landed her a club residency. Shortly after, she met Defected Radio host, Aaron Ross, who led Sam to Ibiza where she quickly became a regular at some of the island’s biggest clubs. She’s since held residencies at Pacha, Mambo, Amnesia, Eden, and Ushuaïa, and now regularly hosts the Defected Radio Show.

Sam launched her own imprint, DVINE Sounds, in 2015, which has been tremendously successful at bringing talented up-and-coming artists to the forefront. Sam ventured into production herself around 2015, with her remix of the classic garage anthem, “Flowers.” Her rework reached the top spots on Traxsource and Beatport, and Sam continued pursuing production in the years that followed.

Sam’s forte is deep, soulful house and she’s played alongside the likes of Sandy Rivera, Noir, Dennis Ferrer, Joris Voorn, Supernova, Maxxi Soundsystem, Osunlade, David Morales, Dimitri From Paris, and many more. She’s toured globally and landed major bookings at festivals around the world, including an epic gig at the top of London’s iconic Tower Bridge.

Sam continues to be an integral part of the dance music industry with no signs of slowing down soon. Don’t miss Sam Divine on March 12th at Shady Park in Tempe. You can purchase tickets here!
