YetepEarlier this week, Sydney Blu released a preview of her upcoming track with Christian Falero on Soundcloud. The track has since been blowing up all over twitter and I’m hoping we get to hear it when she plays tonight at Wild Knight.
“Chemistry” is a progressive house track with a pulsating beat that combines with some almost trance-like chords that’s bound to get your head bopping even if you’re still at the office. All that disappears at around 2:30 when the melody drops out and all that’s left is a hypnotizing syncopated bass rhythm. Of course, since this is a preview, we don’t get to hear the drop when all the instruments come back in, but I suppose we’ll have to wait until the track comes out for that. I have a feeling the build-up that leads to the bass rhythm at 2:30 was only a teaser of what’s to come later.
Lea Luna’s voice in the track is totally different than before in the Helicopter Showdown or Manufactured Superstars tracks. It definitely has a more melodic and progressive tone than before. And although it’s musically unrelated, her voice almost seems reminiscent of Imogen Heap from the album Speak for Yourself.
