No royal wedding is complete without a world-renown DJ banging beats at the reception, right? Right. That’s why Avicii has been recruited to ensure the day Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist tie the knot is as euphoric as a summer dance festival.

The electro-elitist will be delving into his roots when he travels to Sweden to be the life of the party alongside Icona Pop. With a long list of dance music masters born and raised in Sweden, it’s no surprise that the couple would give this opportunity to one of their own.

The highly anticipated performance will be June 13 at the Royal Palace in Avicii’s home country. In a radio interview with NRJ, Avicii reveals that he met the prince in Ibiza and the pair hit it off right away (watch out, Sofia!).

The wedding couldn’t be at a more convenient time for Avicii. He is headlining Summerburst the following weekend and performing at a handful of events throughout Europe. June will be a pretty eventful month for Avicii, let’s hope we can keep up as he’s blazing through Europe.
