At the sold-out #ABGT150 show in Sydney this past Saturday, Above & Beyond announced that Above & Beyond Acoustic will return to some of the world’s most iconic venues in 2016.
If you don’t know what Above & Beyond Acoustic is, you’re in for quite a treat. As if a regular Above & Beyond show isn’t beautiful enough; Jono, Paavo and Tony take their music to the next level by performing their greatest works alongside an ensemble of classically trained musicians.
The first Above & Beyond Acoustic project from January 2013 was recorded in a studio setting for the album and then performed in two locations for the general public, including four shows London’s Porchester Hall and two at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Since then, fans have been begging for more.

At #ABGT150 (above), Above & Beyond revealed a ton of new material from their label, Anjunabeats, including exclusives from Andrew Bayer, Jason Ross and Oliver Smith. The highlight of the night for just about all Above & Beyond fans was the exclusive first play of “Another Chance,” a brand new OceanLab single. This was a really big deal because OceanLab, Above & Beyond’s much-loved side project with Justine Suissa, hasn’t released a single for over five years now. Above & Beyond haven’t yet commented on whether or not they are planning on creating more music as OceanLab since this release, although in January 2014, McGuinness and Siljamäki confirmed via Reddit that the artist name “OceanLab” would no longer be used on future productions, with Justine Suissa now being identified as a part of Above & Beyond.
If you’re interested in hearing the full versions of the tracks premiered at the show, they will ppear on Above & Beyond’s forthcoming Anjunabeats Volume 12 compilation, due later this year. For Anjunabeats fans there was also news of the label’s biggest ever tour of North America early next year.
