YetepAnother amazing album has kicked off this summer as Kygo released his debut album Cloud Nine. Now, you are probably thinking…YES! This album was supposed to be released on February 12, but it was pushed back. Well I am happy to say that Cloud Nine has finally seen the light as of Friday, May 13. It’s all good, Kygo; we all know that great things take time.
We all know and love Kygo for being one of Tropical House’s Kings, but Cloud Nine showed a different side of Kygo. This album is not his typical tropical house, but rather house with small hidden hues of tropical and pop. I think this album really shows Kygo’s skill as a producer. His house beats assist the vocalists to be the center point of the song. I found that his album tended to have more of a relaxed vibe compared to his other tracks. Kygo did a great job with making an upbeat sound with a chill vibe with sudden bursts of musical highs in each one of his tracks.
Kygo says that he wants people to know that he is more than just a tropical house producer. He is much more skilled than that, which is easily proven when listening to Cloud Nine. This was a big step for Kygo, and he outdid himself as a producer. Check out my favorite song on his album, “Serious,” and get lost with vocals and chill vibes during our summer holiday.
