YetepThis event is a couple months away, but I know some of us cannot wait for Mad Decent Block Party in September. It seems as though time won’t go by fast enough! Have no fear! There is a way for us to cope as we count down the minutes for the annual block party of the year!
This week’s Make Your Mark highlights Mad Decent. Mad Decent records was started by Diplo in 2005. In 2006, Mad Decent progressed as a traveling festival with the name, Mad Decent Block Party. This festival travels across the United States, and even making it across the world to India!
Initially, Mad Decent did not get a lot of recognition until 2012, when Baauer’s single, “Harlem Shake” was released. Since then, this record label has been straight fire. Mad Decent even launched a sub-label known as Good Enuff.
Mad Decent has done a great job collecting artists for this record label. Top names include Dillon Francis, Jauz, GTA, Ghastly, Nghtmre, Hi-Lo, Yellow Claw, and trust me so many more unbelievable names. All the artists who signed onto this record label are straight fire. End of subject. Check out their website. Trust me, you will see what I am talking about.
Needless to say, Mad Decent has definitely made a mark on this industry. Starting out as a record label company in Philadelphia, they progressed in all different kinds of directions in the EDM industry. Heck, even their clothing line is lit!
Do not miss a beat! Check out and follow their Soundcloud and listen to all of the newest and hottest tracks in the industry!
