YetepOver the years, Flume has grown to be quite the legend with an outrageous fanbase. Also known as Harley Edward Streten, he is known for his distinct and atmospheric sound inspired by house and UK garage. He stole the hearts of many with his first EP in 2011, Sleepless, his solo album titled FLUME the following year, and blew everyone away with his 2016 album that was long awaited, Skin.
While his fans go crazy over his music, do they ever wonder what the man himself listens to? I sure do, and Flume has created an essentials playlist on Spotify titled ‘Beats and Things’ so his fans can take a peek at what he’s got playing in his headphones.
Flume currently has 13 tracks on the playlist that all span a wide variety of genres inside and out of dance music. From Hermitude to J Dilla, Flume’s taste in music is vast. He recently shared on his twitter that he had updated the playlist with some of his favorite’s from over the years.

While Flume himself has inspired many with his own music, his fans now have the opportunity to listen to the music that inspires Flume. Flume definitely has a unique, and what some might call strange in a good way, sound to his music, and I think it’s safe to say that he’s into listening to the same style. Stay tuned with Flume on his twitter for more playlist updates.
