YetepBreaking the boundaries of genre label’s come a pair of producers who met in college named Simon James and Ben Hall, also known as Delta Heavy. In a little over a year Delta Heavy drastically proved their musical talents and abilities throughout their drum & bass metal with a succession of heavy-hitting original tracks. While this creative, intensive, and multi-textured duo has primarily made drum & bass, they have also made genres, such as dubstep, trapstep, deep house, and festival trap.
Simon and Ben met at a university in Nottingham in 2003 and after several years of hard work, their production efforts resulted in their debut drum&bass release on Viper’s acclaimed ‘Acts of Mad Men’ compilation in June 2009 which garnered the duo lot’s of attention.
Delta Heavy has been called the most exciting duo to hit drum n bass dancefloors since Chase & Status and Nero. Although if anything, their music is even harder and heavier, darker and more multi-textured. Delta Heavy’s 2016 was full of excitement as they kicked off the year with their debut album Paradise Lost, which launched straight into the top 10 electronic charts in the UK and US. The album was nothing short of groundbreaking.
Taking on the new year, the duo has an upcoming BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, the release of ‘Kill Room’ on RAM Records, and a massive 8-date tour this summer. The tour will begin this week on the 26th in Australia, followed by a stop in Spain, a few more in Australia, Texas, Colorado, here in Phoenix on February 4th, and wrapped up in the UK and Germany.
If you’re lover is a fan of Delta Heavy, grab some tickets to see them at the Monarch Theatre just in time for Valentines Day.
