YetepGeorge Acosta is a DJ and producer born in Cuba and raised in Miami with more than 20 years experience. He’s been a driving force in electronic music. His residency at Shadow Lounge solidified trance in Miami and across the country. In 2001 after Shadow Lounge closed George Acosta started his own radio show, Lost World, that after much success landed a spot on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s Electric Area. George Acosta says, “I guess what makes me special is that I never stay behind the times. I’m constantly evolving, trying to better myself and challenge myself.”
This week’s RB Deep in the Mix is George Acosta’s latest radio show, Lost World 595.
Acosta opens the show with an original mix of Jeremy Olander‘s, “Taiga”, that sets the tone for the following 10 tracks. This is followed shortly by Moby‘s “Go” remixed by Bart Skils and a disco-esqe remix of “In Yer Face” by 808 State. The show’s concept is to showcase not only other artist’s music but to also showcase Acosta’s original productions, and with an hour of techno beats, this mix does just that.
You can catch the radio show on Sirius XM Friday’s at 5 PM EST. George Acosta brings his techno funk downtown to Gypsy Bar on February 10th. Don’t miss out, get tickets here.
