Artist to Watch: Rich Chigga

Rich Chigga is an Indonesian rapper, comedian, and songwriter. Born in 1999, he’s one of the youngest in the game, and he’s taking the reins on the rap game.

Before initiating his rap career, Rich Chigga, otherwise known as Brian Imanuel, released comedy videos on YouTube and Vine. He gained a following for his sense of humor, and later came out with “Dat $tick,” his first single. The track gained attention from leaders in modern hip hop including 21 Savage, Flatbush Zombies, and more.

During his rise to fame, Rich Chigga taught himself English by watching YouTube videos and listening to American-based rappers. Now, he has perfected his English and commenced a career in music entirely on his own. Between his deep voice and constant flow, he makes one gotta go see his performance.
