YetepBy now, Martin Garrix has gained a well-earned level of respect in the EDM community. He has come a long way since “Animals” and it certainly shows. The way his sound has progressed is evident from the likes of then to now with more recent tracks such as “Scared To Be Lonely” which turned out to be a massive hit.
Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa – Scared To Be Lonely (Official Video)
In a recent interview with Rogue magazine, Garrix states the following about his experience meeting and working with Dua Lipa:
“With Dua, I had never met her in real life but I had this song called ‘Scared to Be Lonely’ and I really wanted a duet to be on the record because I loved her voice. Actually, I’m in the process of doing another song together with her. I really got to like her and found out she’s amazing and super dope, she has great energy. There’s also been times where people are recommended to collaborate with but I don’t really connect with that person. But I did with her. The writing process is the most important thing and if there’s not a great vibe in the studio creating a song, then it’s not worth staying in the studio.”
It’s great to know that these two work so well together! That’s how you make some great music, but it appears that these two may also more than just collaborators. Regardless, we can’t wait to find out what the new track sounds like. No specific details have yet been released about the upcoming release, but we will keep you posted!
To tide you over in the meantime, have another listen to “Scared To Be Lonely.” You know you want to!
