Watch it Wednesday: Calvin Harris + PartyNextDoor – ‘Nuh Ready Nuh Ready’

The emperor of Omnia, Calvin Harris, strikes again and this time it’s with a world-infused track with vocals to match by PartyNextDoor. As far as the song itself goes, Calvin’s latest is a smooth tempoed and tropical-esque melody that both highlights Calvin dynamic production abilities as well as Party’s roots. “Nuh Ready Nuh Ready” brings the electric reggae vibes with Calvin’s touch PND’s hums of Patois.

For the video, we’ve got two words: trippy and artistic. The 3-minute music video takes us on a scenic tour of a bustling city with beautiful models, dancers moving to the music, and the subtle depiction of Harris’s face in the abstract LED lights cast in every scene of the video. The music is calm and the video is nothing like we’ve seen from Calvin before. In a recent interview, he shocked the masses by stating he’s off the festival circuit and focusing on his Vegas residency. Perhaps his festival sabbatical is set into place to give him time to explore other avenues of EDM? “Nuh Ready Nuh Ready” sure sounds and looks like a solid start.
