YetepIt’s not every day we encounter an artist who so effortlessly and skillfully breaks the norms of electronic music and creates something truly groundbreaking. That’s what we have here with Apashe’s latest EP, Requiem. Inspired by the 1984 film, Amadeus, we revisit this 8-time academy awarded film in a new light and more importantly with a new sound. For those non-movie nerds out there, Amadues is a fictionalized biography of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Mozart’s music is heard extensively in the soundtrack of the movie and it serves are the catalyst to Apashe’s latest masterpiece. In the EP we are met with 3 tracks that break the mold of today’s bass music. He blends the booming classical crescendos with rumbling bass and it makes for an exceptional experience. Full warning though, this ep will create a deep and burning want to see him and this new collection of songs live.
