YetepThe infamous NGHTMRE knows how to take listeners to the darkest parts of their imagination with his bass music, it’ something he does very well – or should I say Pell? NGHTMRE teams up with rapper, Pell, on his brand-new EP Magic Hour. Released through “Mad Decent” Records, the short-lived two-track EP, in unlike anything NGHTMRE has produced before, but it still goes hard. In Magic Hour, NGHTMRE dials back the energy he usually throws in his tracks, he takes a break from the bass drops and instead lays a steady, bumping bass for Pell to spit some bars over. The tracks on Magic Hour are definitely more hip-hop than bass music, which is refreshing. It’s admirable to see NGHTMRE experiment with different types of music, especially when he can still keep his signature sound throughout every different genre he works with.
NGHTMRE has made his name known around the world with his “Gud Vibrations” work with Slander, multiple world tours, and headlining some of the biggest festivals in the world. Pell on the other hand, is a continuously growing name in the industry. Since last year, Pell has teamed up with both Big Gigantic and G Eazy on different occasions to produce some killer hip-hop music. The future is looking bright for both of these artists, makes me wonder if there’s some “magic” in the air near these two.
