YetepHailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, Guy J is a one-man show who produces some of the most well-crafted techno and progressive house in the scene today. Early inspiration rooted from the vivacious Israeli club scene that quickly pivoted his desire to be on the opposite side of the DJ booth. At just 14 years old he took to his “cave” of a home studio and didn’t emerge until he had cultivated his skill set and sound. He has seen great success with his melodic and emotive progressive house and has taken his career to heights most covet. For this Spin it Back Saturday, we are getting deep with Guy J’s 2012 hit single, “Lost and Found”.
Released in tandem with Guy’s passion project, the official Lost and Found record label, the track signifies much more than a house anthem. Considered the gem of Guy J’s portfolio, the label has showcased seasoned producers like Kevin Yost, Funk D’Void, and Eelke Kleijn, as well as emerging talent the likes of Roy Rosenfeld, Sahar Z, and Luka Sambe. For an announcement of such epic proportions, the song had a lot riding on it. The tune set the mood for the label’s reputation. Delivering a gutsful and robust house track that received adoring praises set up Guy J and his label in a sweet spot. 6 years later and both the business and the song are standing strong.
You can catch Guy J at Goldrush this September. See the full lineup and grab tickets here.
