DJ to Watch: Steve Darko

He asked you if you “want your eggs fried or fertilized” and now we’re asking if you’re ready to meet the man behind the tune. Steve Darko is the Boston based house and techno producer who has taken his profession as a software engineer for Izotope to new musical heights. After a few years of winning mixing competitions and putting out originals online, Darko was signed to the prestigious Dirtybird Records and released his debut bird-imprinted EP, Fried or Fertilized. The 2-track EP features the amazing rendition of the youtube sensation rap parody that swept the nation in 2010 and a song titled “Thumbs.” Taking the spotlight in the flock, we had to pick Darko out of the nest and showcase him as this week’s DJ to Watch.
