YetepThe king of vomitstep, Snails, has been keeping fans on their toes lately by releasing remixes left and right, all on his very own Slugz Music label. We saw Funtcase’s remix of “Forever” in July, and in August, he gave us Megalodon’s remix of “Russian Roulette” and a Kill the Noise Remix of Snails’ & NGHTMRE’s “Only Want U (Feat. Akylla). Snails himself also teamed up recently with Virtual Riot for a remix of Waka Flocka Flame’s “WFSU.” Check it out below.
As usual, Snails puts his own filthy spin on this track, adding gargling growls and grimy synths, all set behind Waka Flocka’s vocals. Snails released his debut album, “The Shell” last year after establishing himself as the master of grimy, unrelenting bass with singles like “The Light” ft. Sarah Hudson and “Only Want U” with NGHTMRE ft. Akylla. He is expected to release his full length “The Shell: Remixes” album any day now. With the launch of Slugz Music, Snails now has a home for his music and for others’ that is as wild as they want it to be. “I want to release music that really inspires me and is just as weird as me,” he said about the label.
You can see Virtual Riot perform at Goldrush next month; grab tickets here. You can catch Snails twice in October. Once at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson on October 24 and again at The Van Buren in Phoenix on October 27. Don’t miss your chance to get down to some slimy bass!
