YetepThere are few DJ’s and Producers that understand the endless possibilities of making music quite like Tor. The Vancouver based producer holds nothing back in his art, with finely crafted drums, bells, and whistles all melting together in a soulful electronic rhythm. Tor’s music is ambient and encompasses a beautiful middle-eastern vibe throughout. Since debuting in 2012, Tor has gone on to remix some of the biggest names in the music industry like Rufus Du Sol and Odesza. With all the transcendent and lucid work from the artist, it’s no surprise we are making Tor this week’s DJ To Watch.
With over a decade in the making, Tor debuted his first album Drum Therapy in 2012. Drum Therapy is addictive. The unique percussions and overall quality of the album helped Tor stand out and get his voice heard.
Four years later, Tor released the follow up to Drum Therapy; Blue Book. Blue Book is a timeless album that shows how far Tor had grown as an artist in those 4 short years. This album is best listened to in order from start to finish. It’s an authentic aural experience that is truly unique.
Tor has gone on to play some of the most popular festivals in the world like Shambhala, Lighting in a Bottle, and Coachella. Don’t miss Tor when he stops by Shady Park with CloZee on November 2nd. Grab tickets here.
