YetepYou know that feeling when you’re in the port-a-potty at a rave, and a song so good comes on, even though you’re hearing it sort of muffled, that you can’t wait to emerge from those doors just to start shuffling back to the stage as quickly as possible? Everyone around you starts migrating to the stage too, eager to see what mastermind is able to spin something so groundbreaking. Well, DJ Trio, Meduza, has somehow pulled off that captivating feeling of pure excitement through their deep soulful house tracks, and you don’t even have to be coming from a port-a-potty.
The Milan-based group started out with a mere 2,000 followers on SoundCloud, but that all changed when they dropped “Piece Of Your Heart.” Their following skyrocketed from a couple thousand to over six million streams. With the silky melodic tones over pulsing bass lines and that deep, enticing echo of percussive beats, these three have definitely made us do a double-take. Despite having one original and a few remixes under their belts, their ambitions are big and we are ready to watch them reach those goals. It’s only a matter of time before they are playing on the biggest stages of the scene and shaking dance floors everywhere.
For now, relish in Meduza’s remix of RITUAL’s single “Using” ft. Emily Warren.
Taking all the signature house elements we’ve come to recognize while adding a flare of popping bass and hollow piano notes this remix proves Meduza isn’t here to mess around. You’re not going to want to miss out when these three open for Loud Luxury on September 19th at Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff. Grab tickets here.
