YetepThe wait for some new, soulful, groovy, uplifting, brass-infused electronic music is over thanks to the undeniably talented duo of Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken, better known as Big Gigantic. The fan favorites are back with Free Your Mind after their previous 2016 album, Brighter Future. The duo’s progression and attention to forward-thinking touches, throughout the album, is evident. Free Your Mind has blown us away and we think you will love it as well, so give the epic 13-tracks a listen below.
The Big Gigantic boys have been very open with their intended messages behind the new album, stating that Free Your Mind “explores all of the different things that make us human — the things that connect us to ourselves and to each other— so that we can get to know our true selves and live our greatest lives without anything holding us back.” The album is full of some firey singles you may already know and love, such as “You’re The One” feat. Nevve, which pushes listeners to look into themselves, “Friends” feat. Ashe, which explores loving yourself and others, and “Burning Love” feat. Kidepo, which highlights intense love for another. These concepts are explored throughout the whole project, accompanied by beautifully funky melodies, creamy saxophone and horn solos, and powerful vocals. A few other tracks to highlight other than the singles include the title track, “Free Your Mind” feat. Jennifer Hartswick, which will without a doubt have you letting loose, and “Moonlight” feat. Trella, which has a subtle tone of nostalgia and comfort. Big Gigantic has outdone themselves with Free Your Mind; these tracks will surely be on repeat for quite some time.
