YetepIndie-electronica duo The Knocks have teamed up with vocalist Martina Sorbara of Dragonette for their latest project, a disco pop track entitled “Slow Song.” To top it off, the duo just released the music video for ‘Slow Song,’ directed by Austin Peters and shot in Mexico City.
The music video stars RuPaul’s Drag Race and Real Housewives alumni Aquaria. The iconic drag queen dances her way down a dark street before landing at the disco where Dragonette and The Knocks are both performing. She releases all inhibitions to dance her heart out alone on the dance floor before a crowd appears. After leaving the disco, Aquaria puts on another incredible performance on top of a car before closing out the video with a shot of her back at work in a retail store.
Check out the video below!
The Knocks – Slow Song (With Dragonette) [Official Music Video]
Here’s what The Knocks had to say about the track: “‘Slow Song’ feels like a great example of how our music has matured. Hitting some of our favorite influences from disco to rock to dance. Working with Martina [Dragonette] and doing a record together is full circle, as our first ever tour as The Knocks was with Dragonette.”
Don’t miss The Knocks this March 18th at Sunbar in Tempe for The History Tour. You can grab your tickets here.
