Remix Recall: ‘Thoughts’ – Green Velvet (Rebūke Remix)

It’s almost rave day… so here’s a little something to help you pass the time by, our next Remix Recall! This week we’re getting our bodies moving with the rave ringmaster himself, Rebūke! Known for his early 90’s blend of techno and house, Rebūke has created a sound of his own through the underground music scene of Ireland. Along with his signature sound also comes a revitalizing stage presence. Rebūke has taken over stages worldwide and always gives the crowd a burst of energy.

Rebūke has done some remarkable reworks of tracks like Xpansions’ “Move Your Body”, “All The Ladies” with Fatboy Slim and Eats Everything, and now his most recent rework of Green Velvet’s track “Thoughts”. His blend of organic instrumental sounds and a dancefloor driven bassline never miss a beat. Rebūke’s remixes are Relentless.

That’s the kind of dark groove that’ll make you move! Rebūke always has some kind of percussive elements in his tracks, but the percussive windup in this remix is *chef’s kiss*. He re-energized Green Velvet’s track from 2011 and in doing so, made “Thoughts” completely club ready again 11 years later.
