YetepTrevor Christensen—better known as Said The Sky—has quickly become of the biggest names in the history of melodic EDM. Less than a decade into his journey, Said The Sky has already accomplished an incredible amount, including touring with his best friends ILLENIUM and Dabin, working with some of the best vocalists, producers, and singer-songwriters in the world today, and building an incredible community through his music. In many ways, Trevor has already done it all; and yet, he’s just getting started. Introducing his sophomore album, Sentiment.
A love letter to yesteryear, Sentiment is an incredibly nostalgic body of work. Not only is it overflowing with themes of love, heartbreak, reflection, and more, but it also contains countless musical influences, especially from the genres that Trevor fell in love with so many years ago. A multi-layered homage to genres like emo, punk rock, alternative, etc., Sentiment is so much more than Trevor’s story; it’s an opportunity for his listeners to time-travel, go back to better days, and relive the moments that made them who they are today. As if that wasn’t enough, Christensen has recruited some of his biggest inspirations—including The Maine, Parachute, We The Kings, Motion City Soundtrack, and State Champs—to help him capture the exact sound that he has in mind.
Throughout the album, Christensen and his collaborators cover an incredible variety of sounds, styles, and genres. Featuring fantastic fusions of EDM, rock, pop, and so much more, Sentiment will earn a perfect score in the minds of countless listeners. Whatever they may be craving—a heartbreaking ballad, a hopeful romantic, or anything in between—the emotional range of this LP is just as immersive as it is diverse. In short, there is truly something for everyone.
