YetepIt’s time for Techno Summit! Though John Summit became a global phenomenon last year for his chart-topping tech house tracks, his ever-expanding discography contains a wide scope of soundscapes that showcase his finely-tuned production skills. From the darker grooves of “In Chicago,” to the buoyant bars of “What A Life,” the Chicago native continues to deliver a versatile selection of records, including his latest offering: a thrilling techno track titled “Revolution.”
Released on his Off The Grid imprint, “Revolution” sees John Summit dive into the realm of techno for his darkest track yet (though he’s been known to incorporate techno into his live sets). “Revolution” takes off with ruthless drum kicks offset by fluttering hi-hats while a powerful topline announces “it’s time for the revolution.” An indomitable rolling bassline kicks in after the first drop, along with deep vocals commanding us to dance.
Listen to “Revolution” below!
Whether it’s house or techno, John Summit is inexorably moving forward with an unmatched ferocity. We’ll never be completely sure of where he’s taking us, but we’ll gladly follow.
