Dom Dolla & Nelly Furtado Collab on ‘Eat Your Man’

Dom Dolla returns yet again for another summer house heater and he is bringing the 2000’s pop vibes with him. Teaming up with Dom is one of his childhood idols, iconic singer songwriter Nelly Furtado, on their newly released track “Eat Your Man,” a spicy and alluring track, mixing pop with a mesmerizing house beat. Dom Dolla gives us a blend of deep house and techno and the upbeat drums and dark bass lines combined with Nelly Furtado’s enchanting and seductive vocals make for a powerful house banger.

Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla is of the biggest names in house right now, and has had worldwide success. His popular tracks like “Miracle Maker” and his remix of the Gorillaz song, “New Gold,” have over 25 million streams on Spotify alone. If you are a fan of Dom Dolla, you know his love and inspiration he gets from throwback tracks. His ability to mix modern house and house/pop music from the 90’s and 2000’s, is exactly what caught Nelly Furtado’s attention.

Furtado had been on a break in her musical career for some time and hasn’t released an original since 2017. According to an article from Variety, they decided to work together after Nelly Furtado heard Dom mix his track “Take It” with her and Justin Timberlake’s song “Give It To Me” live at a festival they both headlined. Thankfully so, because we get to hear Furtado’s comeback club anthem, which did not disappoint.

The track “Eat Your Man” pays homage to Nelly Furtado’s popular track, “Maneater.” They kept the same energy from her original lyrics as well as the same message. She is not wrong when she says in their new track, “licking my fingers, I’m in control.” She is still in control, showing she still has her iconic and amazing musical talent.
