YetepA powerhouse of melodic dubstep, Seven Lions and the legendary electronic DJ/producer trio Above & Beyond have crossed paths again to bring yet another powerful emotional banger, “Over Now” ft. Opposite The Other. Following their 2019 hit collab, “See The End,” these astounding artists have beautifully crafted yet another soul-stirring track. “Over Now” ft. Opposite The Other is released under Above and Beyond’s record label, Anjunabeats.
“Over Now” gracefully blends together the captivating bass melodies from Seven Lions, the entrancing progressive electric beats from Above & Beyond and layers them with the heavenly echoes of Opposite The Others passionate vocals. The heartening and hopeful tale is captured in the upbeat lively energy of this track. The light harmonies and atmospheric sounds are a perfect embodiment of the group’s renowned production abilities. Energizing deep in the soul, “Over Now,” is a divine parallel to their previous track “See The End.”
South African songwriter and vocalist Opposite The Other (or Sam Burger) returns again with his emotional resonating vocals. Having worked with Seven Lions and Above & Beyond previously, his specialty vocals pair perfectly with the electronic melodies. He shared the following regarding his journey writing “Over Now”:
“The initial lyrical idea for the song actually came to me near the end of the pandemic. Like many others, I was in a dark place for so many reasons. The truth hit me that no matter how good or bad a situation is, there will always be an ending. This song is about the hope that the light at the end of the tunnel will arrive sooner rather than later. Working with Above & Beyond and Seven Lions once again has been the biggest joy, and I’m super excited to see how this song resonates with people.”
