KETTAMA Is Bringing Gritty Warehouse Heat to Sunbar This September

On Thursday, September 19, Irish producer KETTAMA is set to transform Sunbar in Tempe into a warehouse-style dance haven, delivering a night of raw, unfiltered rave energy.

Known for pushing the boundaries of house and techno, KETTAMA (real name Evan Campbell) rose to prominence from the unlikely electronic hotbed of Galway, Ireland. While his hometown lacked a thriving club scene, KETTAMA carved his own path by experimenting with a sound that blends fast-paced house, distorted textures, and hard-hitting percussion. His breakout track “B.O.D.Y.” became an underground anthem and catapulted him into international recognition.

Since then, he’s dropped gritty club bangers on labels like Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs, and co-founded G-Town Records, a label that’s as much about sound as it is about representing the fierce DIY spirit of Galway’s underground. Tracks like “Higher” and “Temperature Rising” showcase his ability to combine high-octane energy with a nostalgic nod to classic rave culture.

Most recently, KETTAMA collaborated with Fred again.. and Shady Nasty on the genre-blending “Air Maxes,” which fuses punk vocals, experimental electronics, and his signature breakbeat-influenced drops. It’s a sign of his expanding sound and versatility while staying true to the warehouse DNA he’s known for.

Also on the lineup is X Club., a techno duo from Australia who’ve made waves with their industrial percussion and hypnotic grooves.
