YetepDynamic wubmasters Rusko and SubDocta are teaming up to bring the 1 Man Army Tour to Sunbar Tempe in celebration of Rusko’s new EP of the same name. The EP was released through Monstercat Uncaged, a variety offshoot of the prestigious Monstercat label.
The show is 21+ and scheduled to take place on Friday August 22nd and runs from 9:00pm to 2:00am, with entry concluding at 1:30am. Valid physical ID is required at the door. Tickets are available HERE! Buy soon to lock in a good price.
Rusko is based out of the UK, while SubDocta is originally from Reno, NV and currently resides in Nashville, TN. They have both been prominent in the scene for a while. Rusko’s origins go back to the late 2000s, culminating in a nearly 20 year career. SubDocta busted down the doors in 2017 with his iconic ‘West Coast Wobble’ soundscapes. Neither artists show signs of slowing down and continue to push the boundaries of their respective sound design.
1 Man Army explores numerous sounds and styles, beginning with the title track. A crystalline drum and bass track that also features dubstep wobbles and raging bass waves. Taking listeners on a journey through a psychedelic auditory tunnel. You can read about the second track “Wassup” using the following LINK. “Rubix Cube” features descending vocal samples and instrumentals. Reaching new heights with stacking, Tetris-like elements. All while maintaining the core aspects of the DNB genre. Melodic spirals pleasantly contrast with the chunky basslines. Creating a track worthy of your next road trip, party, or group outing. “Bout Your Love” launches the listener into orbit with horror-inspired keyboards and intergalactic bubbles and lasers. Transforming into fuzzy, rising grooves and back again. Warbling wobbles add a nice twist to an already fun track. “Ganjaman” is the EP’s final track and features multiple layers of bass, synth, and rolling instrumentals. Concluding this EP journey on a rocket ship to the stars.
I have written about SubDocta extensively and you can read the articles for “Never” and “Black Magic” using the provided links. The former was my second published RB article and a great way to start out on a high note. SubDocta has also released the noteworthy Left For Dead EP and his newest outing is “Poison Ivy,” a collaboration with Wreckno.
Do not miss this opportunity to see two incredible artists do what they do best!
